Hi September

Hi it's 1st September. I'm actually really tired now, but I refuse to sleep. I mean it's only a 1 week holiday, and I'm loaded with so many assignments! Not to mention I've to attend a course in Singapore Polytechnic next Thursday and Friday.

These two weeks after the common tests were crappy, I mean I was so busy, I didn't really have the time to do the things that I like doing. And I spent my whole night on Tumblr. I've deleted all my old posts, and I don't know if it's the right choice. Oh well, it's already done. And I've updated new ones and changed my theme! It's really simple but I'm lovin' it.

I've also received my common test results, and I've improved but it's not up to standard. And I know I've to put more effort and I will.

I'm exhausted, I don't know what to say. Mm so this is Boy, he is almost turning 4 years old this month! He has brought a lot of joy into my life, and I'm really grateful that I have him. I mean without him, I would be so lonely, and yep dogs are literally man's best friend. :-)
Dog in a box. He likes to sleep in there.
Oh, and one more thing to add before I shut the computer down. My blog has been around for 4 years! I love to blog. It is a place where I can vent out my frustrations and rant about anything. Thank you. Okay, I just thanked my blog lol, I'm so weird.

It's a short post, I know but bear with me! I notice that I seldom blog and one month only consist of 1-2 post(s).

Adios amigo!

Worst lunch experience ever

Have you ever walked into a restaurant and realize you do not have enough cash to foot the bill after finishing your meal?

Well, I have. After my school's national day celebration, Si Rui and I went to Manhattan fish market to have lunch but I actually didn't want to because of the dory fish I had the previous time. It didn't taste really good (to me) even though it looks quite scrumptious. Here's proof:
But Si Rui likes it anyway. I remembered I pointed to the menu "chicken olio spaghetti" which cost $9.90 to the waitress. Who knew when they passed us the receipt, it cost $13.90, and with the coffee and gst and service charge, the amount which I had to pay was over 20 bucks! I was sitting there, scraping my scalp, (no it didn't happen) and we were wondering how do we pay for the bill because it seemed much more expensive than we had expected! We were short of a dollar plus. And I was thinking, "do we have to wash the dishes to make up for it?" oh gosh, no. :-( anyway I told the waiter and he looked annoyed with me and the waitress who took the order for us came and explained that she had repeated the order twice, but I didn't recall her saying that my spaghetti was "regular" portion. She was really nice because she changed my order and yea. Oh I just noticed that she didn't write down the orders but just remembered them by heart. Or do most of the restaurants do that? I think it isn't such a good idea.

It was such an embarrassing moment and probably the worst lunch experience ever. :-( I know I was at fault too. Which includes the coffee thing and I feel guilty about it. And I think the workers there really hate me. Lol. Oh well, I'll never dare to go there again. I've learnt my lesson. Make sure you can afford your meal before going into a restaurant!

We walked over to the library and it was unproductive, mainly because I spent half my time thinking of how to summarize the points. So I'm back home now and i'm almost done watching Internet Icon, which is released every week. (it only consists of 10 episodes!)

Anyway, this is the chicken olio spaghetti which I regretted having.
Boy finally got a new bed a week ago!
This was the card I made for my mum about 1-2 weeks ago. I attempted to make a card like this last time but it sort of failed. I searched up #tribal on Tumblr and there were so many designs! I got inspired by the shorts with colorful tribal patterns. :-)

And look! I coincidentally caught 8:08 P.M. on 8 August!

It will be a long and tiring week for me. Which includes next week as well because of the common tests. Till then!

(I've no idea why I just shared my slightly weird and horrible day with people on the Internet.)

Totally drained

I've been watching many YouTube videos recently, such as Internet Icon etc. Anyway, The Brothers Riedell are really humorous and definitely not a waste of time! But I haven't been getting enough rest lately. I don't know if it's me, or the fact that I'm just plain lazy, I've been sleeping at 12 or later everyday! Which gives me only 5 hours plus of sleep. I do take afternoon naps sometimes but I still feel so sleepy during lessons, I can't help but doze off.

So for the past 3 weeks, I've been having tests and quizzes, given homework, taught new chapters. So I was doing a quick search on the Sticker lady in Singapore (because I had this English group work), skl0, and she had pasted mischievous stickers around town.
It's illegal, yes, but 3 years of sentence? Isn't that too harsh for just pasting stickers around the streets and painting "my grandfather road"? It would have made my day if I had seen her stickers on the traffic light buttons. :-) Just saying.

Caught "The Amazing Spiderman" with Si Rui last week. It is a must-watch! I don't know why, maybe because of Andrew Garfield but I think the movie was great as long as you're able to take action-violence films. It's not exactly too bad. :-D Oh, I also went to Sakae Sushi for buffet yesterday. I regretted going because I felt like I had gained a few kilograms! I'm serious. I had 8-9 plates and a small cup of mango ice-cream.
Absolutely too much food.
Takoyaki balls.
This is one of my favorites! Salmon skin handroll. It's really crispy, you should try!
Had Old Town Coffee on the day we watched Spiderman.
So that's all, I'm ready to drop even though it's only 10:41 P.M., goodnight!

July

School has started for about 1 week and I hope everything goes well.
Dear July, please be nice to me. Sincerely, me.

I had Guides yesterday morning. Farewell graduation party. Went to collect the fruit tarts from Delifrance at Gleneagles Hospital with Moh Moh yesterday and I had cheesecake! Didn't manage to take a picture of it, it tasted really good! Anyway after that, Si Rui and I headed to Jurong Point to have lunch. And I got this schedule book from Artbox (I'm a huge fan of artbox! :-D) which can be used for 3 years! I really like it a lot! I hope this small book helps me to be more organized.

I printed these at Harvey Norman :-) Their service was excellent!

I was bored, so I copied from Bruno Mars his game called 'ask the dragon' where you basically ask someone a question and he/she will answer. So I named mine 'ask the unicorn'! It's really fun. Have been playing this with Chia Lynn, Si Rui and Elaine oh my gosh. Haha.

Being the outdated me, I just discovered this song not long ago from Nicole who does Youtube covers, called 'Honey Bee' by Zee Avi. I love the lyrics!

"I am a honey bee
shunned off from the colony
and they won't let me in

So I left the hive
they took away all my stripes
and broke off both my wings

So i'll find another tree
and make the wind my friend
i'll just sing with the birds
they'll tell me the secrets of the world

But my other honey bee
stuck where he doesn't wanna be
but my darling honey bee
i'll come save you, even if it means
i'll have to face the queen"

The first stanza sort of relates to me somehow. I find the lyrics really cute and meaningful. Yep so I shall end this post! Bye!

8 days

I'm finally back from Redang Island! My relatives left yesterday afternoon, and I just hate that they have to leave so soon. The few days spent in Redang were quite enjoyable, and it's like a new experience because I haven't tried snorkeling before. I feel that I've gained quite some weight because i've been having buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner for 4 days and 3 nights.

Snorkeling was pretty fun! But the sea water kept entering my mask. We fed the fishes bread and they swam directly to us. (Okay, the food.) There were a lot of striped catfish, I don't know the names of the rest of the other fishes. And I think it's really cool, because when you look down, you can see that the water is really deep, and it's blue, not murky at all! The scenery was absolutely breathtaking. But the bad thing about this trip is that the bus journey is around 9 hours long, but when we went back it was like 12 hours, oh gosh.

Here are the pictures! :-) Didn't take many because i couldn't carry my phone when I went for snorkeling or to the beach.
These are taken during the bus trip at Malaysia!
This is the beach. Beautiful scenery!
Our hotel room number, lol.
More More Tea gift shop.
This is the place where we always assemble before going for snorkeling. :-)
This is one of the underwater photographers/lifeguards briefing. His nickname is monkey ha ha. :-)

I'm third from the right.
I look really funny. Didn't seem like there were so many fishes when we were taking pictures.
Before our trip to Redang, we went to Universal Studios. Was a tiring day. I don't recall taking any roller coaster, but we did take a couple of rides.

She looks gorgeous. :-)
My aunts from HK :-)
Queueing for TRANSFORMERS The Ride, some sort of stimulator. Everyone on the 'car' kept screaming, including me! It was quite an exciting ride!
Love the carvings etc.
'Treasure Hunters'
This picture is so pretty!
I recorded their performance.
I didn't take this. It seems silly haha.
End of the crate adventure.
Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure was fun, basically we're on this float and it turns round and round, and it unexpectedly went down the slope or something. I got soaked, then we dried ourselves at the drying booth because we didn't buy their ponchos. Lol. Also took the canopy flyer, it wasn't that bad!
I wish Singapore had buildings like these.

I shall get some sleep now. Goodnight!
(This is roughly what we did when my relatives came over for the past 8 days.) :-)
